Any of you guys out there go out for a jog ?  Or maybe take it more serious ?

For myself I now jog, to keep fit, but there was a day when I could race quite well. With bests of 30m 15sec 10km, to a 2hr 22min Marathon

Now aged over 50 and I find my 10km has dropped to about 40mins and I have'nt even tried anything longer !

Any of you guys got any times ?

I used to run/jog/stagger around my village but my knees started to complain so moved to cycling. You should try it ;)

I try and go 2/3 times a week. Nothing serious though and only go for about 3/4 k at a time. Actually sprained my ankle walking to CR for the Blackburn game! And yes had had a couple of pints but I blame the uneven surface!!

Ran cross-country in high school and also cycled competitively.  Then I moved to suburban Detroit and lost my decent roads and most of my training season.  Didn't pick any of it back up while I was in college, but now I hike/backpack quite a bit, which my old knees don't mind too much.  My son and I have a Philmont trek scheduled next summer

Sub 40 (just) for 10km, 1hr 33 for a 1/2, running is handy for keeping weight off but I find any more than 90minutes or so a bit boring, though I have done some of those assault courses (Tough Mudder etc) and they're a lot of fun
